Team 3 : Chembio

Institut Parisien de Chimie Moléculaire (IPCM)

Pr Anne Vessières

The ChemBio team is interested in the design and synthesis of chemical tools for application in life sciences. The team focuses on increasing chemical diversity through the synthesis of new aromatic heterocycles and organometallic complexes of transition metals (Fe, Ru, Rh, Re, Os ...). These new chemical tools are designed for applications in (1) medicinal chemistry, (2) bioanalysis and cell imaging), and (3) catalysis in aqueous media (artificial enzymes). This team has complementary skills in organic and organometallic chemistry, spectroscopy (infrared, fluorescence), enzyme catalysis, immunochemistry and cell culture.
  • Applied Bioorganometallic Chemistry
  • the synthesis and in vitro and in vivo study of the antitumour effects of organometallic complexes
  • infrared detection of carbonyl metal complexes used as tracers for non-isotopic Carbonyl ImmunoAssay (CMIA) and cellular imaging.
