{"id":5082,"date":"2025-02-24T11:05:44","date_gmt":"2025-02-24T10:05:44","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/curamus-cancer.fr\/?p=5082"},"modified":"2025-02-24T11:13:33","modified_gmt":"2025-02-24T10:13:33","slug":"operated-bodies-inoperable-bodies-in-the-oncogenetics-era","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/curamus-cancer.fr\/en\/operated-bodies-inoperable-bodies-in-the-oncogenetics-era\/","title":{"rendered":"Operated bodies, (in)operable bodies in the oncogenetics era"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>A workshop organized by the <span style=\"color: #ff00ff;\"><strong>GOPxie collective (the Gender of Oncoprophylaxis)<\/strong><\/span> and sponsored by the SiRIC Curamus, the Cermes3, and the Sorbonne University&#8217;s Biomedical Humanities Initiative<\/p>\n<p>This <strong>multidisciplinary workshop<\/strong> intends to open a conversation between humanity and social scientists, healthcare professionals, and patients&#8217; organizations about <strong>interventions on the body<\/strong>, whether therapeutic or preventive, specifically in the subfield of oncology that recently was transformed by the inclusion of genetic knowledge.<\/p>\n<p>It aims to precisely question the <strong>diverging treatment<\/strong> of women and men&#8217;s bodies by drawing from studies addressing gender relations and the social production of <strong>health inequalities<\/strong>.
