Their objective: to offer new operational conditions for translational research in cancerology, in order to optimize and accelerate the production of new knowledge and to promote its dissemination and application in the treatment of cancers.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p>SIRICs bring together, around the same site, medical services, multidisciplinary research teams (clinical, biological, technological, epidemiological, human, economic and social sciences and public health) and efficient common resources and services.<\/p>\n<p>Together, these components should make it possible to carry out integrated multidisciplinary research programmes. This integration is defined by the sharing of research questions and objectives between the different disciplines, in order to jointly develop synergistic programmes, the aim of which is better cancer management.<\/p>\n<p>The SIRICs thus have the following missions :<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>to develop and conduct integrated research programmes;<\/li>\n<li>to set up programmes to disseminate knowledge and new practices.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/curamus-cancer.fr\/la-labellisation-inca-des-sirics\/map-label\/\" rel=\"attachment wp-att-231\"><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter wp-image-231 size-large lazyload\" data-src=\"https:\/\/curamus-cancer.fr\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/07\/map-label-1024x810.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"640\" height=\"506\" data-srcset=\"https:\/\/curamus-cancer.fr\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/07\/map-label-1024x810.jpg 1024w, https:\/\/curamus-cancer.fr\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/07\/map-label-300x237.jpg 300w, https:\/\/curamus-cancer.fr\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/07\/map-label-768x607.jpg 768w, https:\/\/curamus-cancer.fr\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/07\/map-label.jpg 1722w\" data-sizes=\"(max-width: 640px) 100vw, 640px\" src=\"data:image\/svg+xml;base64,PHN2ZyB3aWR0aD0iMSIgaGVpZ2h0PSIxIiB4bWxucz0iaHR0cDovL3d3dy53My5vcmcvMjAwMC9zdmciPjwvc3ZnPg==\" style=\"--smush-placeholder-width: 640px; --smush-placeholder-aspect-ratio: 640\/506;\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>Following a call for applications launched in April 2017, <strong>the Institute renewed the accreditation of six SIRICs and accredited two new SIRICs, including CURAMUS:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/siric.curie.fr\/\">SIRIC Curie<\/a> : site de l&#8217;Institut Curie (Paris) ;<\/li>\n<li><a href=\"http:\/\/www.cancer-lyric.com\/\">LYriCAN<\/a> (Manipulating cell plasticity for innovative cancer treatment)\u00a0: site du centre\u00a0Centre L\u00e9on B\u00e9rard\u00a0(Lyon) ;<\/li>\n<li><a href=\"http:\/\/siric-brio.com\/\">BRIO<\/a> (Bordeaux Recherche Int\u00e9gr\u00e9e Oncologie) : site de Bordeaux ;<\/li>\n<li><a href=\"http:\/\/www.montpellier-cancer.com\/\">SIRIC Montpellier Cancer<\/a> : site de Montpellier ;<\/li>\n<li><a href=\"http:\/\/www.siricsocrate.com\/index.php\/fr\">SOCRATE<\/a> : site de l&#8217;Institut Gustave Roussy (Villejuif) ;<\/li>\n<li><a href=\"http:\/\/www.carpem.fr\/\">CARPEM<\/a> (CAncer Research for PErsonalized Medicine) : site de l&#8217;AP-HP regroupant les h\u00f4pitaux universitaires suivants : H\u00f4pital Europ\u00e9en Georges Pompidou, H\u00f4pital Cochin\/H\u00f4tel-Dieu et le d\u00e9partement d&#8217;h\u00e9matologie de l&#8217;h\u00f4pital Necker ;<\/li>\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/www.siric-iliad.com\/\">ILIAD<\/a> (Imaging and Longitudinal Investigations to Ameliorate Decision Making) : site Nantes-Angers ;<\/li>\n<li><span style=\"color: #7f65dc;\">CURAMUS<\/span> (Cancer United Research Associating Medicine, University &amp; Society) : site du Groupe Hospitalier AP-HP.SORBONNE UNIVERSIT\u00c9 (Paris).<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Funding for these SIRICs is provided jointly by an endowment from the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.e-cancer.fr\/\">Institut National du Cancer (INCa)<\/a>, the <a href=\"https:\/\/solidarites-sante.gouv.fr\/ministere\/organisation\/directions\/article\/dgos-direction-generale-de-l-offre-de-soins\">DGOS<\/a> and <a href=\"https:\/\/www.inserm.fr\/\">Inserm<\/a> on behalf of the Alliance for Life Sciences and Health (Aviesan).<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>The French National Cancer Institute has introduced a competitive policy of labelling integrated cancer research sites (SiRIC).
